Leap Day

Today is February 29, Leap Day. It was a big day because it was the first time Mommy and I were by ourselves out and about. We went to Babies R Us then to her office. Alicean fed me my bottle and I hung out while Mommy worked. I was so good and Mommy and I had fun!

Photo Shoot

Today Mommy and Daddy and I went to Christi Long to have our pictures taken. We started with Daddy and me taking pictures alone. He did lots of fun shots holding me and looking at me. I fit so snug in his hands. In the end it was a 3 hour shoot and I was able to stay bare bottom the whole time. I ended up peeing on Mommy and Daddy 3 or 4 times!

2 Week Doctor's Appointment

Can you believe today I am already 2 weeks old?! I went to the Doctor and they checked on my weight and I have started gaining it back since they have been supplementing with the formula. I now weigh 7 lbs. 8 oz. I am getting closer to my birth weight.

After the appointment Grandma came over and we did lots of fun stuff. I sat in the swing for a little while and then sat in my comfy Boppy chair.

In the afternoon we had visitors. Janet and Zachary came over. Zachary is a few months older than me, so he seemed A LOT bigger than me!

Finally full

The past 4 days have been a little rough. Mommy feeds me for an hour every 3 hours but I am still SO hungry. If I am not sleeping after I eat, I am screaming. Trying to let them know I need more food! Today Mommy and Grandma took me to the Doctor's office to meet with the lactation consultant. It looks like I am not getting enough to eat. At the end of the appointment she mixed this formula in a bottle and it was so yummy. For the first time I felt full and I just passed out! Mommy is going to change the routine up a bit so that I can get more yummy food...yea!

Dinner with Mommy and Daddy

Today I played all day with Mommy and Grandma. I love my Boppy chair more and more everyday.

Tonight was my first dinner out with Mommy and Daddy. We went to Mesa Rosa and can you believe we ran in to Grandma and G while we were there. Mommy was glad to have her long awaited margarita!

First Cornerstone Delivery

This afternoon we had our first delivery from Mommy and Daddy's Cornerstone Sunday School class. The Taaffe family brought over some King Ranch from Central Market. I got to meet all 4 of the kids and they were excited to see me too!

To Town Again

Mommy and Grandma and I went in to town to run a few errands. I do so great in the car. Of course, I like it to be moving best since the vibration keeps me asleep. Sometimes when we stop I get a little startled and let everyone know!

Another fun day with Grandma

Grandma came over this morning and has been loving on me all day. Mommy and I went on a walk in the neighborhood and enjoyed the pretty, sunny day.

Alicean came over in the afternoon and she took turns holding me as well. They took a bunch of pictures of me and I got tired of the flash since I just wanted to sleep like I like to do these days!

First Doctor Appointment

Today was my very first appointment with Dr. Brown. It was a quick appointment just to get my weight and height. I have lost a little weight, I am now 7 lbs. 2 ounces. They say it is expected after delivery. The only concern is that I haven't pooped since I got home. The Dr. made me and taught Mommy and Daddy afterwards how to do so.

Afterwards, I rode with Mommy and Daddy to their house on Patterson. Mommy and I sat in the car and waited for Grandma to pick us up since Daddy had to go to school afterwards. It was my first day with Grandma helping to take care of me. I am so excited for all we have in store, she really seems to love me a bunch!

First Day at Work

Today was a fun day. First, I had my very first bath at home. Granna and Mommy gave me a sponge bath in Mommy's big car. Afterwards they dressed me up and I got to ride in the car with Mommy and Daddy to lots of places. I rode in the backseat with Mommy while Daddy drove us to a few houses she needed to look at. I saw lots of North Austin and parts of Cedar Park for the first time.

We came home afterwards and celebrated my cousin, Jaxon's birthday. Jaxon, Luke, Uncle Jason, Aunt Kelly, Aunt Tex, Grandma and G all came over for the party. Jaxon had lots of presents to open and we sang Happy Birthday to him before everyone ate cake.

Then Mommy and Daddy loaded me back into the car to drive to our house on Edgemoor that Daddy has been working on. When we came home we were greeted by Grandad and Nana who brought us a yummy dinner from Rudy's.

I am sad because today I had to say goodbye to everyone who came in to town to see me until the next time they come to visit.

Lots of Visitors!

I am once again learning how loved I am. Today I got to see so many friends and family. First, my Grandma, Aunt Tex, G, Uncle Jason, Aunt Kelly and Jaxon and Luke came over. Then, Scott, Tommy and Todd came to see me and my Daddy. A few minutes later my Grandad, Nana arrived and then Allison, Jason and Jackson. WOW, so many special people and once again I was held for hours and loved every minute of it!

Grandma, Aunt Tex and G came back by later to bring us some yummy lasagna and we ate with Granna and Pop. Mommy and Daddy and I went to bed early since we were pretty tired from all the excitement!

Home Bound

Today I got to experience a few firsts. Most of the day was spent with paperwork, shots and more tests. Around lunch time Granna came back and brought Pop, who I was excited to meet for the first time. At 3:30 they finally released us from the hospital. Mommy and I were pushed in a wheelchair out to meet Daddy at our car. I now know what it feels like to be in the sun. It was a pretty day, clear and sunny and low 70's. I already love to be outside!

I got placed in the car for the first time. Mommy and I rode in the back seat as Daddy drove (OVERLY cautious and nervous) us home. I was so excited to get home and see the house and the room that was all ready for me. We got home around 4:00 and were greeted by Granna and Pop. They drove in to see me and help us get settled from the hospital.

Grandma came over later to help get unpacked and get Mommy and I settled. Daddy left to work for a little bit and to pick up my brothers, Tanner and Cooper. Later that night they all got home and I got to meet my big brothers. They are the best dogs in the world and just as crazy in person as I pictured!

Valentine's Day

Today was my first Valentine's Day. I saw lots of new faces as friends and family came to visit me and my Mommy and Daddy. Today I got to meet Trent, Tara, Hayden, Pastor Ron, Dana, Heather, Aunt Tex, Sondra, Chris, Uncle Jason, Aunt Kelly, Jaxon and Luke.

We stayed in a small room in the hospital that was frequented by nurses checking me and Mommy out between the visitors. I am loving this new world...all day and pretty much all night I was held tight and kept warm by someone and I had my Daddy to be my Valentine!

Hello World!

So, today was the day that I entered the world. I was born at 2:40 pm into the arms of Dr. Robert Cowan. The labor was fairly quick and easy as I couldn't wait to enter the world. Mommy did a few rounds of pushing and then I was forced to hold tight until the doctor arrived. Luckily, it was only one more round and I was out and welcomed into the world!

I was immediately surrounded by tons of family that I was anxious to meet. It was such a special day because not only did I finally get to meet my Mommy and Daddy, but also Grandma, Granna, Grandad, Nana, G, Aunt Aimee, Emma and Alicean. I immediately heard everyone's familiar voices and felt so happy, safe and secure. I am a very lucky girl as I was loved, kissed and held by everyone! I ended the day falling asleep on my Mommy's chest and hearing her heartbeat that comforted me for so long.
